Why do it before you move in?
- Empty floor: every joint is reachable, so the result is even and the job is faster.
- No furniture to move and no need to live around the work.
- Fits your renovation timeline: slot it in before carpentry installation and final painting touch-ups.
- Grout is still clean: new BTO grout hasn't had time to absorb dirt — sealing it under marble gum keeps it that way.
Recommended BTO renovation order

Which option for a BTO?
Most new BTO owners choose marble gum grouting because it is a one-time upgrade that keeps grout lines clean for good. If your budget is tighter, homogeneous tiles polishing alone still removes renovation haze and lifts the shine.
BTO questions
When should I do marble gum grouting in my BTO?
Right after key collection and before carpentry, flooring for bedrooms and painting are completed. The floor is empty and every joint is reachable. If your carpentry is already in, we can still work around it.
Do I need to tell my renovation contractor?
Yes — let your ID or contractor know so we can slot in before carpentry installation. We coordinate dates directly if you prefer.
Can I polish brand-new BTO tiles?
Yes. New BTO tiles are often left with cement haze, grout film and scratches from the handover cleaning and renovation work. Polishing removes this and gives a much higher gloss than the factory finish.
How long will it take for a 4-room BTO?
Typically 2 to 4 days for marble gum grouting with polishing, or 1 to 2 days for polishing only, depending on the tiled area.
